The recent gastronomic culture boom emphasizes different kinds of food and culinary aspects that were forgotten until now. The revaluation of the oil that brings us to specific tastings that indicates us the real value of this gastronomic gem produced in our country. The “Setrill glass” allows the union of two different functions for the same aliment. On one hand, we can pour the oil to dress a salad and in the other hand we can enjoy tasting the oil with a tasteful slice of bread.

It is a design made out of two well known concepts of our food culture. It is an innovative way of uniting two different and antagonistic styles to resolve the same necessity. One of them is used in a formal and glamorous environment (the drinking glass) and the other is used in a familiar and popular environment (the “porrón”).

Bios is a funeral urn made of biodegradable materials like coconut shell, compact peat and cellulose. Inside the urn, there is a tree seed which can be replaced by any other kind of seed, shoot or plant suitable for the chosen place. When the urn is planted, the seed germinates and starts to grow.
Bios Urn transforms the burial ritual in a regeneration and return to life through nature. As a result, cemeteries become forests.

Mural Centre Cultural Lesmonges
2008
75th Aniversary
For the High School’s 75th anniversary the institution raised a series of events including conferences, book presentations, films, cookouts, alumni speeches… Due to these new events we find a communication necessity which is to be solved with the creation of a graphic image to identify the event.
The Project was structured around the fence that covers the center’s perimeter. The fence marks a turning point in many ways. It marks the difference between being in the center, protected, with some obligations, schedules and scheduled life or being out and looking back, remembering those years and comparing them with life, with different responsibilities and needs. It marks a time, an environment, some friends, a methodology… This fence means a moment of our lives’ wrapper. The moment we spent at high school. This is the reason for the humanization of the fence (with student’s faces on it) and the brand’s geometrization (symbolizing the fence).
The brand is applied to elements of communication such as leaflets, banners, stationery and books. It is also applied to the design and layout of a book that collects the most prominent and endearing of its 75th year history. The brand is also applied to advertising elements such as t-shirts, outside claims to celebrate and make visible the event, helium balloons, the creations of an outside element affixed to the exterior wall and the labeling of the center’s fence with the student’s faces.
In order to bring near the celebration to the students and letting them share their experiences and their comments, the studio runs a blog developed by with new technologies for the use of the students.

Life in the city is complicated. Basic necessities such as housing are subject to complex and absurd obligations. Freedom is reduced depending on what you have or need.
Birds don’t pay the rent. They settle into a place and use the nearest resources. Their nests form part of nature. Learning from them, we decided to build the Nest House, a simple metal and rope structure completed with natural materials such as leaves and branches.
It doesn’t take up room, it hangs from a tree with a thick tape so as not to harm it. Once installed, it can be used as an observation point or as an essential habitat where to spend the night.
The Nest House allows us a perception of the natural space, as a set for animal, plant and human life. Design azuamoliné.

Reinventing the past of the objects to imagine the future is a challege for the local culture which claims its identity. Handcrafted designs that coexist between tradition and the avant-garde. A collection of objects of popular character, innovatory and nice.
To think on a minority market with a limited production foments creativity and allows to go deeply into the emotional character of the object. The design and flexibility of the handcrafted production are values that form the philosophy of this family of objects, offered as an alternative to a global and massive consumption.
Innovation, quality and design in a bet for the denomination of objects, centralization of the production and a sustainable and responsible consumption.

IES Joan Brudieu

Etno Lab is a return to nature in order to learn, feel and recover the lost harmony with the environment. They are a series of projects inspired by an urban character who longs for a life in touch with nature and who turns to it to run away from the stress of the city. Whenever he has the chance, he enjoys life in the countryside in a playful and experimental way. He is interested in natural processes and he integrates into them. He lives like a bird, in a nest house. He dresses like a new countryman, mixing tradition and progress. He hunts natural shades with which he customises his clothes… and when he passes away, he is buried in a biodegradable urn with a tree seed. A perception of the natural space as a set for animal, plant and human life.
Etno lab is also a collection of objects recovered from tradition. Daily, simple and anonymous typologies recovered for a new function. The Catalonian bag, inspired by the traditional scarf used for bundles, the warm beret, full of sherry stones heated in the microwave to warm the bed, the plastic chair personalised by a willow artisan, the rebotijo, the bottle-shaped sauceboat, the measuring glass… Apparently, they are traditional objects, strongly artisanal, but conceptually innovative.
Another series of products deals with the coexistence between natural and artificial things. Our desire to dominate nature is ancient, our aggressiveness towards the environment is seen everywhere. But nature also colonises artificial things. Their ways are different and their time is slow. The romantic image of some ruins invaded by the forest proves us that nature is very constant. This capacity has led us to developing pavements and architectural coverings with textures and materials that are prepared to accept this natural life; lichens, moss and even small animals, in order to reduce the impact of artificial things in the natural environment. Nature is not only the decorative motif but the protagonist of its representation. azuamoline

Neo-rural is an exhibition which explores a new approach towards the nature through an urban person who longs for the life in touch with nature and turns to it to relax and forget about everyday stress that the City produces; a person has an opportunity to live in the nature of a playful and experimental form.
He lives like a bird in a nest; he sees himself as a neo-farmer who combines tradition and contemporary; carries his things in a Catalan bag, drinks from an earthenware jar, sits on the plastic homemade chair, captures the shadows with which he designs clothes , puts his beret in the microwave. When his days are over he is buried in a biodegradable urn that contains the seed of a tree. Neo-rural is a return to nature to learn, feel and to recover the lost touch with it.
